Over 20 schools converged in Macon Saturday testing out the new Track surface at the Central GA Relays. Check out the free race video in the recap.

AAAAA state races look to be very tight team wise for Boys and Girls titles.
McLeod on a mission, Milton Boys Rock, South Forsyth Girls cement top ranking and Jonesco's Leonard is top Gal.
At this point the top 4 teams are really tight and it looks like any 4 could stand atop the podium in a month. Buford makes their debut in the top 10 after a good week of racing. (via MileSplit)
Although there isn't a lot of movement this week, things are tightening up. With the Flowery Branch girls improving weekly the top 3 are now in a virtual tie and seem to have distanced themselves from everyone else. Jones County appears in the top 10 for the first time. Here are the fastest 100 AAAAA retuners from 2015 Fall XC. Erin Leonard from Jones County is pictured above followed by Mary Valli of Starrs Mill at the muddy State meet.
That 2 week rest from racing was just what the doctor ordered for defending Champ Dunwoody as the Cats' swept the Team and Individual titles.
The only movement in Girls 5A was Starrs Mill moving up 2 spots after taking 2nd at 4-AAAAA. Dunwoody's top 5 hasn't raced since Coach Wood.
Only 1125 runners participated at the annual Last Chance meet at the 'State Course' Saturday. Very few ranked larger school teams ran their varsities or came at all, with those in attendance taking advantage all around, giving their JVs a chance to test out the layout. In 2 weeks though, this venue will be electric..can you feel it?
5A Girls Rankings held serve except for Alexander cracking the top 10 after not being ranked. Union Grove, McIntosh, Starrs Mill and Northgate will square off this Saturday in Region 4-AAAAA at Heritage Christian Course.
Dunwoody maintains their top ranking, after their 19:41 team average at Asics. Alot of moving and shakin' going on in the bottom 5 though... Starrs Mill closed the gap on rival McIntosh at Asics. Northgate jumped up 4 spots and Jones County may be in the top 10 for the first time in recent history at 8th!
Marielle Lewis of Kell HS raced to the win in the AAAAA Girls 1600 race.
5A schools met some small school competition as schools are allowed to run up at Last Chance. Forsyth Central warmed up for Region winning the Boys race over A Private Athens Academy and Jones County. The Athens Academy Girls were not as kind winning the Girls race beating 4A ranked Columbus by 11 points showing steady improvement all season long and could give Landmark a race for their money in 2 weeks. Anna Marion Block from AA and Justin Weegar of Evans (pictured) were Overall winners.
The 7th Annual WACO Invitational was a nice little weekday meet being held for the 2nd consecutive season at a nearby WACO elementary school due to similar circumstances like Westover. It seems Nationally ranked 400m ace Quintaveon Poole of WACO is foregoing XC to focus on his speed...However, Jones County's boys were tight scoring 25 points winning the team honors. Stratford won their 1st GHSA invite in a close race with West Laurens and Jones County.
