Zion Ragins of Jones County HS
It's much tougher for freshmen boys to have an impact in outdoor track than the girls. But these three athletes are enjoying some success competing against the best Georgia has to offer. Zion Ragins from Jones County is ranked #1 in the 100/200-meter events, and currently in 5A heading into region meets is also ranked above all the upperclassmen as well. Zion displayed incredible top-end speed in the 100-meter dash at the Fendley Relays in Warner Robins HS on 3/25. Micah Hamm competes in the GAPPS association but has the fastest freshman time in the 400 meters and has went sub 2:00 in the 800-meter run. Noah Sybert and Memphis Rich of Richmond Hill were part of the top 5 that led Richmond to a runner-up finish in 6A at 2020 XC State, and are both gunning for qualifying for the 5A-6A meet at Carrollton three weeks from today.
