What's fun about cross country is that every course is different. But what's fun about MileSplit is that it offers a way to compare times across these different courses. And we can combine multiple courses and come up with a ranking of sorts even though the athletes didn't race each other head to head. So each week we are going to compare performances from the top meets of the weekend. Note, we will only go as deep as the top 1000 individuals, so if your 5 scorers did not place in the top 1000, then there will not be a team score.
This week we're looking at results from Wingfoot (all races), Apple Hawkins, Release the Hounds, and Paulding County
A few things stand out to me from this weekend. First of all, Averi Lowen, take a bow. Wow. What a performance. Wingfoot is never the fastest course of the year, but some years it runs fast enough. It was on the slower side, for Wingfoot, in my opinion this year. And Lowen was amazing. Simply amazing. I've been told it's the 3rd fastest speed rat...
