Week 6 AA Boys Team Rankings Georgia Ranking Committee Sep 25, 2017

The Rome Floyd Championship race has some of the north Ga teams making big moves up the list whereas the South Ga Championship race has teams falling several spots. Some head to head questions were answered in both races. Banks Co has gone off the radar, but they are still the team to beat, but if Amruchee and Pepperell can put up other results to back up Saturday's performance look for a new #1 in the coming weeks. Head to head racing in the South answered some questions, but it's obvious the heat took its toll. (via MileSplit)

Week 6 AA Girls Team Rankings Georgia Ranking Committee Sep 25, 2017

There was some good head to head racing in the north and south this week. The Floyd Championship race catapulted Armuchee to the top of the rankings this week. Bleckley girls were in control at South Ga Championship. (via MileSplit)

Week 5 AA Girls Team Rankings Georgia Ranking Committee Sep 19, 2017

Bleckley is teetering on the top, but don't think they are out of reach of a strong Armuchee team, or the Jeff Davis squad. Berrien has a strong Individual in Rebecca Chandler , but with a 5 minute split from 1-5 it will be easy for them to slide downward over the coming weeks. Rockmart and Oglethorpe are evenly matched. St Vincent's usually starts slow early in the season, but closes toward the podium spots by November. (via MileSplit)

Week 5 AA Boys Team Rankings Georgia Ranking Committee Sep 19, 2017

Banks and Bleckley are pretty evenly matched, but Bleckley is young; advantage Banks. Toombs looks poised to challenge at the top. Jeff Davis and Armuchee would be a good race head to head. Pepperell, Coosa, Rockmart, and Gordon Central are very close and Dade Co breaks into the top ten. (via MileSplit)

This year's AAA meet will be very exciting! The forecast calls for mud and AAA will be the 5th and 6th races of the day out of 14 so it will be sloppy, but not as bad as later in the afternoon. When there's this much on the line, nobody cares about the weather, it's GAME ON!! Congratulations to all AAA State qualifiers and good luck on Saturday.

3A Boys Team Rankings Week Ending 10-18 Georgia Ranking Committee Oct 22, 2015

It wasn't a busy week of racing in Boys 3A and there was no movement amongst the top 10. the most significant performance was by Oconee County as the Warriors gave the All-Class ranked North Oconee squad all they could handle at the Clarke Oconee Championships Tuesday. No Warrior squad has raced this well since the 2004/2005 teams. Definitely closed the gap some on Westminster & Blessed Trinity and may have put some distance between an ever improving East Jackson squad.

It was a muddy weekend of racing as several large invitationals across the state had AAA schools on their buses. Blessed Trinity’s boys continue to hold onto a narrow lead.We will see a AAA and AAAA showdown this Thursday at Mountain Invite where several ranked teams will go at it.

Tuesday Region Wrap Bruce Taylor Oct 29, 2014

There were only 4 Region Meets contested Tuesday and Ga.MileSplit has received results from 2-AA, 7-AAA and 3-AAAA. These are a few of the outlying more 'rural' regions especially 2-AA and 3-AAAA. There were no surprises from any as the better teams during the regular season all advanced.

Week 8 Ga.MileSplit Class 3A Team Rankings Georgia Ranking Committee Oct 14, 2014

Shake up in top 3 of 3A boys.  Blessed Trinity takes the top spot after a NARROW head to head victory over East Jackson.  If Chase Kennedy runs normal, East Jackson still wins.  This is turning into a very close 3 horse race with Westminster, Blessed Trinity, and East Jackson. Westminster girls sent a message and separated a little bit at the top of 3A girls, although the Titans were missing #1. Hart County may well have their best Girls team in school history this Fall.

Week 7 Ga.MileSplit Class 3A Team Rankings Georgia Ranking Committee Oct 8, 2014

Well, well...the more things change, the more they stay the same...  But not so fast this week baby....Banks County ran well at the Mountain Invite as both their squads moved into 6th in the Week 7 3A Rankings. Let's look for some truth after next Saturday as finally........Blessed Trinity and Westminster's Girls are slated to compete looking at Asics' entries, to go 'heads up' in a sure barnburner at Asics!! (Don't be shocked if they end up in different races, LOL) East Jackson and Westminster's boys are 'possibly' on a collision course at Asics Alexander...(although at press time) Westminster's boys are not entered.

Morgan and Banks cracked the top 10 this week.

Week 4 Ga.MileSplit Class 3A Team Rankings Georgia Ranking Committee Sep 17, 2014

East Jackson's Boys stayed atop the 3A Rankings this week as their strong top 4 carved up the competition at the Eagle Invitational. Westminster ran as a tight pack in the 1A-3A race at 'Ortho' moving ahead of Oconee who ran in the Championship race. Dawson County bested West Hall in Oakwood and Banks County moved into the top 10 finishing just behind West Hall (at the West Hall Invite) In the Girls action, the most significant move was by Westminster as the Lady Cats' placed 8th in the Championship Girls race within striking distance of 4 top ranked 6A squads moving ahead of longtime rival Blessed Trinity this week..

NGTC Mountain Eagle HS Invite Summary Bruce Taylor Sep 6, 2014

It was a hot one up at North Georgia Technical College's all grass course. As the sun rose moisture from the grass seemed to turn into steam as conditions for the Varsity Girls race were tough. It didn't seem to slow Hart's Audrey Honiotes as she won easily and Mountain View's Tyler Barber enjoyed success a race earlier winning Boys Varsity overall.

Top 50 Returning Girls in 3A Bruce Taylor Aug 19, 2014

One thing about 3A Girls is very clear...Hart County soph Audrey Honiotes now has an open door to run thru and dominate the Class after a superb frosh season. There's plenty of girls going to be in the chase from Westminster, Blessed Trinity and a region rival from Banks County though...

Top 50 Returning Boys in 3A Bruce Taylor Aug 18, 2014

Its a brand new Rodeo in 3A this season with powerhouse teams moving up to 4A this season. One has to go down to 18th place in last year's 3A race to find fastest returners in this article. Westminster has finally moved up in Class after dominating AA for years which means a new champ will be crowned in 3A both teamwise and individually. Blessed Trinity boasts the top 4 in fastest returning times, but watch out for a few East Jackson harriers who have been receiving the benefit of some World Class coaching.
