Can Bleckley Sweep AA Again, or will Banks' Boys Crash the Party

AA Boys Team Race

Banks Co appears to be the clear favorite, and barring some misfortune, it is likely they will walk away as the new AA state champs. A young Bleckley County team could put up a bit of a challenge, but youth and lack of experience will pose quite an uphill battle for them to overcome. The rest of the podium spots will be heavily contested and any of the top 10 teams are capable of getting there with Region 4 a mystery. Toombs, Jeff Davis and Benedictine were closely matched in 2-AA and Lamar had a nice race in 5-AA at Columbus (reportedly a 3 Mile course a month ago) Can Armuchee and Pepperell challenge the below gnat-line squads and crack the Podium?

Top Boys Individuals

Although there are no Carl Ellis Corleys in this field, this should be a very good race for the Individual crown. Demarcus Boulware of Jordan, Ricardo Santana of Toombs, Guy Gober of Rabun, Chaney Holder of Armuchee, Jimmy Cochran & Griffin Stephens of Banks and Garret Rogers of Bleckley could produce a nice lead pack. How many of these contenders will go sub 18: at Carrollton is a good over/under bet..

AA Girls Team Race

The Bleckley County girls will be defending their title, and it appears unlikely that they will be bested this Saturday. From 2nd-5th should be a really good race (depending on how they handle the hills) between 2-AA squads Jeff Davis & St.Vincent's Academy and throw in Banks County who ran well at 8-AA. Berrien County will find out how they handle the hills if they want to ascend the Podium. Alot of the teams have run head to head this season with no clear favorite.. Can any of the 6-10 teams have a good day and crash the podium. There is a big? regarding region 4, as they did not report results.

Top Individual Girls

Individually, Bleckley could possibly have three girls battling for a crown. Austin Perez and Macy Moe would be the best bet for a Bleckley win, but 9th grader Krista Hall can't be counted out. Rebecca Chandler from Berrien Co should be a top contender. Alania Jablonski of Monticello, Allison Smith of Banks Co, and Georgia Stockton of Rabun Co could also challenge for the win. As with the Boys, it will be interesting to see what times NW and South Central Georgia runners post at Carrollton.
