Ryan Clark wowed the crowd, coaches, fellow athletes and young children, putting on a show that will not soon be forgotten. Clark smashed the All-Time Georgia Olympics State meet records in the 100 and 200 Meters.

Banneker faltered a bit in the 5A 4x100 Relay early on placing 2nd, but had a short memory, as the well rested Trojans from College Park, obliterated the All-Time Georgia HS record and GHSA State Meet record in the 4x400 going 3:12.03 pulling 5A team champ SW DeKalb to a 3:14! WOW!!
We will begin previews of the GA Olympics with Class AAAAAA. I ran a virtual type meet based on Sectionals. Its not as accurate as many with the 3200 race being very slow not reflective of what those guys can run
Here is a preview of the AAAAA Boys at the Georgia Olympics. its Sectional and Rankings based as well. Is everyone ready to watch Ryan Clark fly, SW Dekalb looks very strong...
Here is a look at Class AAAA coming into the 2015 Georgia Olympics. Its very wide open with many teams having an opportunity to score a State title. Frank Pittman from Marist headlines outstanding fields in the 1600/3200
AAA- Here is the AAA Preview for the Georgia Olympics which begin Thursday noon at Jefferson. Cedar Grove is the team to beat going in and the 800/1600 races are very competitive....
There's not much more that can be written about Ryan Clark's unbelievable senior season. He threw down 2 impressive performances Friday in the 100 and 200 meter races.
Here is the final Georgia Olmpics preview with Class AA. Fitzgerald looks strongest coming in with at least 14 scoring opportunities. The battle for Team Podium spots should come down to the wire with 5-6 teams in contention
Here is your 1-A Private Boys Georgia Olympics Preview. They will be no prelims as every event is a Finals. earlier in the season it was a toss up between perennial power Athens Christian and suddenly very competitive First Presbyterian Day (FPD)
In one of the more exciting (and heartbreaking) finishes of the 1600 races. Miller Kettle of Greater Atlanta Christian won Gold when race leader Everett Smulders hit the deck meters from the finish line..
This was the featured race of the evening most had been waiting for. Miles Yapp from Brookwood assumed command of the race in lap 2, but had to hold off a whirlwind finish by Davis Stockwell and Jonathan Schwind winning in a fine time of 4:15.10
Robby Keough of Whitefield defended his A Private 1600 meter title clocking a 4:17 in a very interesting race.
The AAAAA 1600 was quite entertaining producing the Best Performance Award winner as Logan Poteet never looked back shortly after the Start going 4:12.01.
The action on the Track was hot in AAAAAA as Rockdale rolled to the title. Archer had a great meet placing 2nd with 45 points, Mill Creek 3rd with Brookwood and Newton County tied for 4th (pic by Daniel McCauley)
There were some premium highlights from Class AAAAA Saturday including a few by Ryan Clark from Banneker and their US #1 4x400 squad! (pic by Daniel McCauley)
Southwest DeKalb had a few more thoroughbreds than anyone else in 5A and they ran like the wind claiming their first team State title since 2007 scoring 58 points. The brotherly duo of Terry and Terryon Conwell led the Panthers hunt.
Reilly Friedman of Galloway HS ended his GHSA career by defending his 2013/2014 3200m titles at the Georgia Olympics turning in a solid 9:29.
The AAAA 1600 had some seriously close racing up front and for the next 6 Podium medals. Frank Pittman pulled away the final 300 meters taking the win in the fastest time thus far of the eveving in 4:16.38
Kell's Logan Poteet had the Best Performance of the Georgia Olympics in the 1600m Thursday....and added another in his GHSA Track finale motoring to a sweet 9:05, though not without a 'lil' push..
A Public is fairly wide open this Georgia Olympics as it appears a new Champ may be crowned in Jefferson this weekend. We did a Sectional virtual meet without distance accounted for and Terrell County is favored.
Jamal Thompson from Terrell County unleashed a big kick late coming from over 50 meters back with 200 to go, winning the A Public 3200, sweeping the distance events.
Rockdale County proved that Sectionals can't be taken for granted for a team's chances at the Georgia Olympics. What matters in Jefferson, is who brings it when on the biggest stage. (pic by Daniel McCauley)
Chase Kennedy of East Jackson survived some unforseen challenges in the 3200 from Metro runners claiming the AAA 3200 meter State title in 9:32.04
In a great race, soph Sam Ellis from Decatur outlasted Chase Kennedy of East Jackson the final lap winning Gold in 4:21.03.
This race had 2 runners crack sub 5 including new A Public State titlest Jamal Thompson from Terrell County who posted a winning time of 4:50 putting the Green Wave in the driver's seat for a team title.
ACS was dominant, but not all of the 1A Pvt Highlights came from ACS, as Demitrus Robertson of Savannah Christian put on a show in the 100/200 and Robby Keough from Whitefield defended his 800 Meter title going 1:53.81
Spencer Fields of Darlington assumed control early and decimated the field going 9:35 for the Gold.
Athens Christian rolled up 45 points going into Finals and clinched it by the 110 Hurdles as Demarcus Evans pulled an upset winning Gold. The Eagles also set a new A State Meet record in the 4x400. Hats off to a great Program!
In his final Georgia state championship meet, Ryan Clark of Banneker broke two state meet records including a US #1 10.26 in the 100meter dash into a headwind!
