Cedar Grove is loaded in the 400m including Darius Freeman (#4), that's Poole from WACO to his left.
If Cedar Grove can just repeat their Sectional performance they should win the AAA team title going away. The Saints have all the spicy ingredients including Darius Freeman who wil challenge for the 200/400 state title. Sprinters Isreal Spivey and Andre Burrell are threats to score and help drive the Saints top rated Relay squads. Out on the Field Joseph Comer is good in the horizontals, Thrower Johnny Thomas is #1 in the Shot.
Michael Hans of Oconee County (c) is a threat in both distance events for the Warriors
Oconee County is definitely a contender for a top 4 finish. The Warriors are led by distance runner Michael Hans, John Gogal and Ian Van Giesen in the 800, 3 throwers can score including Ethan Brown in both events, Jed Woodward and Michael Miller. Chase Major could be a factor in the 400m.
Decatur's points will come mainly in the 800 thru 3200 events with Sam Ellis sure to contend for Golds in the 800/1600 and Connor Tinaglia in the 1600/3200. Sprinter Cameron Greene has potential to score in both short sprints.
Jefferson will be right at home, eating home cooked meals in the comfort of their homes at night and have at least 7 scoring chances. The Dragons could well be leading after Friday as they may sweep the Discus with Donte Wilson and Michael Goza and always do well in the PV for the home fans behind Kayne Berryhill and Taylor Jones.
Chase (l) and Chandler Kennedy may push the Eagles into AAA Podium contention
County rival East Jackson's hopes ride on the legs of the Kennedy twins in the 800 thru 3200 events. Chase is the favorite to win the 1600 and 3200 races while Chandler has the speed to contend in the 800 and score well in the 1600.
Quintaveon Poole cruises at Sectionals in the 400m dash
Peach County, Blessed Trinity and Washington County have the potential to score 30 points. Peach is led by sprinter Malcom Lowe, WACO is led by the defending 400 champ Quintaveon Poole which is US #6 with a 46.50 and Blessed will be led by hurdler Bailey Durham who could sweep both events.
