Coaches Meet Program
Parking/Stadium Layout
The Riverside Parkway Throws Area is located at 425 Riverside Parkway NE. This is where the shot put and discus events are held. This area is about 1.5 miles from Barron Stadium. All throwers must attend implement check in at Barron Stadium before getting on the shuttle bus to head to the throws area. Parents wanting to watch the shot and discus competitions will be able to park at the Labor Department Address: 462 Riverside Pkwy NE, Rome, GA 30161 or Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency Address: 450 Riverside Pkwy NE Suite 200, Rome, GA 30161.
Warm-up Guidelines:
(60 minute Warm up for each Pole Vault session)
(40 minute Warm up for each High Jump session)
(20 minute Warm up for all flights of Discus Throw, Shot Put, Long Jump, and Triple Jump)
There will be two separate warmup areas. The warmup apron located on the outside of the track is for block starts up to the first hurdle. The field warm up area will be for athletes preparing to compete. There will be hurdles located on the field. PLEASE keep your athletes off the warm up area unless they are actively warming up. There should be no bags located in the warm up area.
Meet Notes
o BUS PARKING -Attached to the map, you will see several different places to park busses. For drop off, please make sure you are following the map that is posted to avoid any complication. Busses may park at Heritage Park Boat Ramp or Trinity By the River (606 Turner McCall Blvd.) or Legacy House ( 524 Ave A) or Grain Craft (100 East 1st Ave)
o SPECTATOR- Please do not have any of your fans or spectators park at the hospital parking lot. They will be towed. The parking lots at the hospital will open up after 4:30pm on Friday, and you are welcome to park there during that time. Do not park at any of the businesses or the hotel across the street from Barron. They will be towed.
SPECTATOR Parking is available in designated lots around the stadium and shown all across the parking map. Handicap parking is limited.
GO FAN
o All spectators must enter the Stadium from the 3rd Avenue entrance. They can also purchase the ticket on GoFan.
TEAM PACKETS- Each team will be issued a packet with the following included.
o Hard Copy Heat sheet
o Wristbands -Coaches need to wear their wristband for the entirety of the competition. Coaches may use their wristband to enter the Hospitality Room to receive breakfast, lunch and dinner.
o Trash- Please help keep our stadium as clean as possible by cleaning up around you each day.
CLEAR BAG POLICY
o Baron Stadium has a clear bag policy which is Attached to this statement. Spectators and visitors are not allowed to bring in any prohibited bags.
o Athletes and coaches, however, will be allowed to bring in their coolers to be on the TEAMS side of the stadium Only.
