Its always tougher on Freshman Boys being thrown into a very large, mean Hornet's nest of experienced HS runners with thousands of miles of quality training in their legs in comparison to the Girls. Its tough to make a name for yourself, even as an accomplished MS runner having to race up to 2000 meters longer than 8 months ago...As this article will reveal its no shock that the fastest 50 Frosh Boys times were achieved at courses with a rep of being 'Fast' Jallah Galimah from Heritage HS (Conyers) currently is on top having ran a 16:13 on the Boling Park course at Warpath. Stay tuned for another update after 10-4.....

In honor of their fallen teammate, the Heritage high school cross country team participated at the Athens Academy Invitational on Saturday. Many members of the family of Aubrae Gunderson were their in support. It\'s been an emotional week for the Patriots of Heritage but they reminded us all of what this great sport is all about. Kudos to you, Heritage. Coach Smith and Coach Wade have a remarkable group of athletes to work with and they celebrated the life of Aubrae Gunderson and did honor to her memory. It was a prvilege to compete with you on this day and best of luck to you all the rest of the season.
