  • Throw1deep Dominates the Hammer and Destiny Jenkins Scores 2000 Steeple Gold!

Photo-MileStat.us       Throw1deep Hammered away at the USATF JO in Greensboro, NC as Lauren Chambers set a new meet record in her curtain call as a HS athlete with a gold medal winning mark of 175-08. Teamates Patrice Gates took the silver with a mark of 154-09 and Sallie Marie Futch placed 7th.      Keeping it up on the boys side for Throw1deep was Enrique Gaitan as he slung the Hammer 179-07 to win the gold in the Intermediate division. Edward Brentall continued the T1d sweep capturing a silver medal with a toss of 174-09. John Paul Reed placed 5th along with Nathan Loe 7th for T1d.      The talented Jenkins family began their medal quest in Greensboro with Destiny Jenkins easily winning the 2000 meter Steeplechase despite suffering a few falls on the water-jumps with a time of 7:11.73. Then bother Joshua placed 4th overall in the Intermediate boys Steeple clocking a 6:28.90. Lakeside-DeKalb's Meghan Wetterhall also had a nice race in the Intermediate Girls Steeple placing 4th in 7:34.16.
