Greater Atlanta Christian rose up as their talented duo of Sprinters including Darius Slayton and Micah Abernathy led the Spartans to the AA Boys State title.
Cedar Grove was the odds on favorite to win the AAA Team State title, coming into the Georgia Olympics, and as the saying goes, "Speed Kills' as the Saints ran away from the competition led by Darius Freeman.
AAAA had a variety of event winners, including Eagle's Landing's Devin Dixon, who ran to the Georgia Olympics Best Performance Award in the 800 meters in 1:52.71. Daniel Roberts from Hampton swept the Hurdles and TJ titles.
It came down to the 4x400, with Sandy Creek needing at least a 7th to move past Marist and North Oconee who were tied at 40 points with no scoring chances since the 800. The Pats dialed up a 6th, winning the team title!
ACS was dominant, but not all of the 1A Pvt Highlights came from ACS, as Demitrus Robertson of Savannah Christian put on a show in the 100/200 and Robby Keough from Whitefield defended his 800 Meter title going 1:53.81
Athens Christian rolled up 45 points going into Finals and clinched it by the 110 Hurdles as Demarcus Evans pulled an upset winning Gold. The Eagles also set a new A State Meet record in the 4x400. Hats off to a great Program!
There were some premium highlights from Class AAAAA Saturday including a few by Ryan Clark from Banneker and their US #1 4x400 squad! (pic by Daniel McCauley)

The action on the Track was hot in AAAAAA as Rockdale rolled to the title. Archer had a great meet placing 2nd with 45 points, Mill Creek 3rd with Brookwood and Newton County tied for 4th (pic by Daniel McCauley)
Rockdale County proved that Sectionals can't be taken for granted for a team's chances at the Georgia Olympics. What matters in Jefferson, is who brings it when on the biggest stage. (pic by Daniel McCauley)
Banneker faltered a bit in the 5A 4x100 Relay early on placing 2nd, but had a short memory, as the well rested Trojans from College Park, obliterated the All-Time Georgia HS record and GHSA State Meet record in the 4x400 going 3:12.03 pulling 5A team champ SW DeKalb to a 3:14! WOW!!
Ryan Clark wowed the crowd, coaches, fellow athletes and young children, putting on a show that will not soon be forgotten. Clark smashed the All-Time Georgia Olympics State meet records in the 100 and 200 Meters.
There's not much more that can be written about Ryan Clark's unbelievable senior season. He threw down 2 impressive performances Friday in the 100 and 200 meter races.

This race had 2 runners crack sub 5 including new A Public State titlest Jamal Thompson from Terrell County who posted a winning time of 4:50 putting the Green Wave in the driver's seat for a team title.
In one of the more exciting (and heartbreaking) finishes of the 1600 races. Miller Kettle of Greater Atlanta Christian won Gold when race leader Everett Smulders hit the deck meters from the finish line..
In a great race, soph Sam Ellis from Decatur outlasted Chase Kennedy of East Jackson the final lap winning Gold in 4:21.03.
The AAAA 1600 had some seriously close racing up front and for the next 6 Podium medals. Frank Pittman pulled away the final 300 meters taking the win in the fastest time thus far of the eveving in 4:16.38
