PLACE: Franklin County High School
FIELD EVENTS: Every
contestant in the shot, discus, long jump and triple jump will
be given 3 attempts with the top 9 qualifying for the
finals and 3 more attempts.
All Field events must have clear finishers through 8
places and clear 9th and 10th finishers for replacement
purposes.
Pole Vault will go up 6" and High
Jump 2".
STARTING HEIGHTS: Boys PV6-06; Girls
PV 6-00; Boys HJ 5-02; Girls HJ 4-02 (all heights are one height below the
lowest seed in the event.
VERTICAL EVENTS WILL CONCLUDE
WHEN A CLEAR 8 QUALIFIERS AND CLEAR 9 AND 10 REPLACEMENTS ARE ESTABLISHED.
Ties for positions 8,9,10
must be decided after the completion of the competition
Shot and Discus will be
weighed and measured under the bleachers.
COACHINGAll coaching or encouraging
athletes during running events must be done from outside the track or from designated
coaching areas in the field events.
No coaching from the infield or other restricted areas.
INFIELD: Access to the infield
will be restricted to meet officials and escorted competitors in the upcoming
races in an effort to prevent pacing issues from the field. Athletes must enter at the clerk of course
entrance at the SCOREBOARD end of the track.Athletes will be allowed to warm up on the upper practice field
until the throws competition is over on the lower field adjacent to the clerk
entry area,
TENTSTents
are allowed in the visitor stands, along the fences on the gym side of the
stadium and in the designated areas on the concession level of the finish line
grandstands. No tents on lower spectator rows
FACILITIES: The track is a 8 lane
all-weather track.

There
will be no dressing area at the stadium.
Gymnasium
will be closed as well except in the event of weather emergency.
COACHES HOSPITALITY: Located in football field house meeting room
GATE FEE $8.00 for everyone. Tickets
should be purchased through GO FAN.
CONCESSIONS: There will be a full concession area provided
PARKING: Spectator parking in main lot in front of school. Spectators should enter through the main gate.
TEAM ENTRANCE: Teams should exit their bus to the left of the gymnasium at the softball gate entrance.Buses will then park in the AG parking lot.
WRISTBANDS: Wristbands will be issued to coaches
and athletes as you enter through the team gate.
Coaches wristbands will be used to access the hospitality area.
RULES: All National Federation rules will apply. Please review the NFHS Rule Book, Case Book, and be familiar with the NFHS Officials Manual
CLERK of COURSE: The
clerking area will be located outside the scoreboard end of the track under the
tent. All athletes must report to
this area for check-in by the second call.
WARM UP AREA: Warm up area for all
running events will be on the track until the throws competition is completed and
then the lower practice field will available and adjacent to the clerking area
MEET DUTIES: Officiating
assignment list will be provided.
All measuring tapes will be
provided. Volunteers will be available to
help you with non-officiating duties (tape
pulling, raking, putting up cross bars, shot/discus retrievals, result
recording, time management)
EAP: In the event we have to clear the stadium, coaches should take their athletes into the gym through the two upper doors that go directly into the stands. Coaches should remain with their teams.
MEDICAL TRAINING: Athletic trainers will be on site, they have requested that
any of your athletes that need taping to please bring pre-wrap and tape with them to be treated.
