Carrollton Last Chance Highlights and Team ReCaps Bruce Taylor Oct 25, 2015

Only 1125 runners participated at the annual Last Chance meet at the 'State Course' Saturday. Very few ranked larger school teams ran their varsities or came at all, with those in attendance taking advantage all around, giving their JVs a chance to test out the layout. In 2 weeks though, this venue will be electric..can you feel it?

Region 4-AAAAA: Union Grove Gals Dominant and McIntosh Boys Seize the Day! Bruce Taylor Oct 24, 2015

In what was by far the most competitive Region meet of the day, as well as Carrollton Last Chance, 4 of the top 7 ranked AAAAA Girls squads and 3 of the top 9 Boys squads let it all hang out at the beautiful Heritage Christian Church course this morning. The Varsity runners definitely had cooler temps, but prs were being achieved by many in every race. Starrs Mill put on a great race and their Volunteers were first class.

This week's Rankings extended thru 10-20 taking into account Clarke Oconee Championships as Athens Academy moves into 4th. Galloway ran well at Coach Wood moving to 5th. OLM did well @ Coach Wood breaking into the top 10 at 8th. All teams designated 11th are in no particular order. Many teams will be at Last Chance including Landmark Christian, Athens Academy, Paideia, Galloway, OLM, FPD, North Cobb Christian and Whitefield Academy. 2A Boys Team Rankings Week Ending 10-18 Georgia Ranking Committee Oct 22, 2015

It was an extremely slow week for AA racing and there was little movement for the Boys squads. Only A few ran at Coach Wood, Rome Area and Fishy Invite (that ran much slower than previous years?) Model did defeat Darlington by a few points at the Rome Area meet. I currently am trying to get the results in a format I can use.

3A Boys Team Rankings Week Ending 10-18 Georgia Ranking Committee Oct 22, 2015

It wasn't a busy week of racing in Boys 3A and there was no movement amongst the top 10. the most significant performance was by Oconee County as the Warriors gave the All-Class ranked North Oconee squad all they could handle at the Clarke Oconee Championships Tuesday. No Warrior squad has raced this well since the 2004/2005 teams. Definitely closed the gap some on Westminster & Blessed Trinity and may have put some distance between an ever improving East Jackson squad.

5A Boys Team Rankings Week Ending 10-18 Georgia Ranking Committee Oct 22, 2015

Many of the top teams moved around in the 5A Boys rankings this week excluding top 2 Alexander and Forsyth Central. Cambridge jetted up to 3rd after Coach Wood, Flowery Branch moved back into the top 4 and Clarkston laid an egg dropping down to 10th. Starrs Mill and McIntosh rested up for Region 4-AAAAA coming up Saturday.

6A Girls Team Rankings Week Ending 10-18 Georgia Ranking Committee Oct 21, 2015

Coach Wood really shook up the 6A Girls Team Rankings as every team in the top 10 moved either up or down. South Forsyth may be slowly closing the gap back on Northview heading into Region. Etowah ran great moving up 3 spots after their performance at Coach Wood. North Paulding tore it up bbreaking bad into 9th. *All teams designated 11th are in no particular order*

6A Boys Team Rankings Week Ending 10-18 Georgia Ranking Committee Oct 21, 2015

Coach Wood set things straight (for now) heading into Carrollton Last Chance followed by Region meets! Mill Creek ran great moving back to 2nd. Woodstock won the Sharptop Invitational. Walton is beginning to look like 'Walton' heading into the final 17 days of the 2015 season.
