It was a fun filled wet morning for the runners at the Atlanta Classic. Some very competitive racing occurred despite conditions which slowed the course. Whitewater and North Oconee took it to the wire in the Varsity Boys race and Huntsville (one of Alabama's best Girls squads) took it out on Georgia teams winning by 34 over Westminster. Our young GaMileSplit crew hung tough, shooting race footage and stills all morning!

The inaugural Wingfoot XC Classic was a memorable event for participants and spectators. Persistent rain created messy conditions in Cartersville’s Sam Smith Park, but those in attendance embraced the atmosphere and celebrated runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. In fact, some runners were excited to run in the mud and said it made the day even more fun.

This was a quiet week at the top of AAA, but Blessed Trinity did run the Fulton County Championships and several AAA squads faced off at the West Hall Invite early in the week. Banks County's boys and girls have now cracked the top 10 for the first time and there was some movement in spots 6-10 for boys and girls. Watch List squads from each week are all ranked 11th from this point on.

Hebron Christian closed the gap considerably on Landmark after a great 6th at Gwinnett County, and in a race with 150 or more competitive runners it could be a toss up. A real shakup from 5-7 as Warpath brought out the best in Walker, Fellowship Christian and Mount Paran.
