Jeremiah Chance won a very tight race in the boys 100m final

Wow! There were so many amazing performances over the last week I'm not sure where to start exactly. Obviously Middle School State took center stage after playing 2nd fiddle to the high school kids all season. And boy did they deliver. I am simply blown away at how much the sport has grown at the middle school level ever since introducing this meet. The winning times have gotten so fast it's hard to know where to start. But I think the one that impresses me the most Olivia Harris in the 400 who ran 54.76, which is faster than any of the high school girls ran over the weekend. That's amazing. Not to mention we saw not one, but three boys break 10:00 in the 3200 with Aaron Brodrick breaking the meet record. But then Jameson Pifer who was 2nd in that race came back and won the 1600 in 4:34 and Malachi Burnett was 3rd and came back to run 4:39 in the 1600. Ella Gibbs did her thing and got two more wins in blazing fast times. Kadan Spratling threw the discus 150 feet, Jonaz Walton went sub 23 in the 200, Adair Carlin Vaulted 10-7, and Sarah Marshall is knocking on the door of sub 12 as a 6th grader. Truly amazing performances I never would have thought possible when this meet began. Kudos kids.

Oh, and some high school kids ran fast too...But don't take my word for it, just scroll down and you'll see we had more elite performances this weekend than any other weekend. Track season is heating up indeed. They're really setting themselves up for a big finish over the next few weeks. Onward to region, sectionals, and state!
