Paulding County Championships
THIS IS A PRIVATE MEET - PAULDING COUNTY HIGH SCHOOLS ONLY
Middle school will have a normal meet after the high school races are completed. This will be open to teams outside of Paulding County. Email Taylor Ford for the meet password (ephstfxc@gmail.com)

Race Schedule:
7:15am Coaches Meeting @ Pavillion
7:45am Varsity Girls (7 runners)
8:25am Varsity Boys (7 runners)
9am JV Girls (unlimited)
9:45am JV Boys (unlimited)
10:45am MS Girls 2mile
11:15am MS Boys 2mile
Box Numbers:I will have the boxes marked left to right in alphabetical order (East, Hiram, North, PC, South)
Course:The course will start on the top plateau of the main grass field. It will loop to the right and end up beside the asphalt path. It will have an in cut near the top and in the middle before heading downhill towards the concrete bridge. It will stay inside the asphalt path and cross the bottom parking lot entrance, followed by running next to the creek. Lastly, it will climb the hill and connect back to the course 200m past the start. It will be a 2000m loop that is run two and a quarter times followed by a finish downhill. There are 2 concrete parts (bottom bridge and in front of the bottom parking lot), which is about 50m of the race total.

MS Races: There will be a middle school race after high school is finished. This is the first ever Paulding County Middle School Championships, but with only two teams, we added in two others to make it more exciting. They will be racing a 2 mile course which cuts out the second loop of the high school course, but starts and finishes in the same location.
Entry Fee: $150 per school (MS and HS) or $80 per gender

T-Shirts:Eagle Sportz will be onsite selling shirts.
Concessions: We will be serving concessions this year. Please let your parents and athletes know!
Awards:We will give medals to the top 10 finishers in ALL races. The top two teams in Varsity and JV races will receive a trophy. The winning team will receive our traveling county trophy. The winner of the trophy will get to keep it for 1 year and will be responsible for adding their winners plaque to the trophy. The trophies are fairly expensive so it is expected the winning coach will take care of it for the year. If the trophy is damaged, lost or stolen, the team that is currently in possession of the trophy will have to buy a replacement.
Middle School will receive top 5 medals for each gender. Also, the top 3 Paulding County finishers will get a medal for the Paulding County XC MS Championships.
All awards will be handed to coaches at the conclusion of the meet for them to distribute to their athletes as to avoid gathering in a large group and passing things around.
COVID-19 Guidelines: We will provide hand sanitizer and disposable masks for spectators and families. We ask that all teams bring their own if possible. I will be separating boxes from each other with boxes marked with an "X". We will not allow spectators near the start or finish areas. This will be marked with flags OR paint. We are doing this to ensure we minimize the 2 areas we know will get crowded due to athletes and their parents.
