Join us at Boundary Waters Park for the 4th Annual Lions Invitational.

After consideration of the various options, total number of runners, and discussion with coaches who have run with us in the past, we have decided on the original schedule and the social distancing protocols attached and listed below. Coaches, to ensure a smooth race day, please review these with your teams.

Race will be chip timed by Perfect Timing Group, and every registered runner will receive a time. Starter is Mr. Bruce Truitt.

Awards for top three teams and top eight varsity finishers and JV winners. *Team Trophies will be awarded after the last race. Medals will be placed in a bag for each coach.

Please enter athletes in appropriate races based on minimum times. Boys and Girls Varsity, and Boys JV should be able to complete a 5K in 30 minutes. Girls JV should be able to complete the race in 45 minutes. We will not plan to delay the start of a race if someone fails to meet the minimum time.

To enter the open race for athletes not on your current team: Go back to registration. Enter the "open race" division. Add your athletes.

For adults (coaches, parents), you may need to add the athlete as an unattached runner. Go to Team Management. Add the person just as you would a team athlete. Use the correct graduation year (1966 for me). That will keep them from being on your active roster, but allow them to be added in the open race.

Parking: except for handicapped guests, all car

and bus parking will be at the ball fields.

Team set-up: after departing the bus, teams will

be directed to the team set-up area, with each team approximately 50' from one

another. Most teams will be fairly close to the start/finish areas.

Coaches & check-in: our green team tent will

be on the top of the hill. Coaches must sign a COVID screening waiver and verify

payment prior to picking up your packet.

        Starting area:

o  No one will be allowed in the starting area

until we call for the race. We will make multiple announcements and then have the

call to the starting line about five minutes prior.

o  Since we only have a 100' wide starting line

this year, we will have twenty boxes at 5' wide.

o  Every "even" team will be staged back several

feet until moments before the start. See the attached box layout and box

assignment. Boxes were selected randomly.

o  Runners should not take any extra warm-up gear

to the starting are.

o  If a runner wishes to wear a mask prior to the

start of the race, he/she should either keep it in a pocket or drop it in the

trash or on the ground. We will have a worker in PPE to dispose of those masks.

Finish area:THERE WILL BE NO CHIP RETRIEVAL IN THE FINISH AREA

o  Unless a runner is truly in need of medical

attention, he/she MUST keep moving down the finish chute and return to the team

area after cool-down.

o  We will have a medical tent with our sports

trainer and an EMT - for emergencies only.

        Post-race:

o  Coaches are responsible for removing and

returning all runners' chips, preferably all at one time after the completion

of your team's last race. As usual, teams will be billed for lost chips.

o  All teams should clean their team areas.

        Awards:

o  We will announce team winners during the open

race. One representative from each team can retrieve the trophy.

o  We will place all Varsity medals in an envelope

for coaches to pick up after the race.

o  The two JV winners will receive their medal in

the chute.
