Directions can be found here for general registration: http://www.milesplit.us/pages/Online_Meet_Reg_Instructions and specific to our meet directions will be out closer to the meet day. We ask that you only register those athletes who will run. You do not need to declare ahead of time which race any athlete will participate in. Please do not register your entire team, only those who will race on that day. Please complete your registration no later than 11:59pm on Tuesday September 9th if at all possible.
AWARD CEREMONY
Individual and team awards will be given out on the field immediately following the scored JV Races and during the Freshmen/1st Year Runner race. Awards will be presented to the top three teams in the Varsity races and top 10 individuals in the Varsity races. The 11th-20th will receive a ticket in the chute to go get their awards from the trophy tent. The top 15 runners of each JV race, top 10 Freshmen/1st Year Runner race (per gender), and top 5 JV unlimited races (per gender) will receive a ticket to come claim their awards in the finish chute as well. They will pick up their awards from the white tent or after the awards ceremony. We will have commemorative posters and custom medals this year.
FRESHMEN/1st YEAR RUNNER and JV UNLIMITED RACES
These races are open to any high school GHSA athlete, but please note that it will be based on the honor system. There are some very nice awards intended for those 1st year runners so please be honorable. Remember that there will be an official JV Boys and Girls race for your ten best JV runners that are capable of running under 30 minutes so it may be the better option if you want to score well as a team in it. In the Freshmen/1st Year Runner race and the JV/Open unlimited we will have awards for both genders even though it will be a mixed gender race.

COURSE
https://vimeo.com/73546167
The course is the same as last year! It will begin with our standard 800m grassy loop before crossing a bridge and entering the new trails; note, these are the only two real choke points on the entire course (300m in and we widened that turn significantly and 800m in, the bridge crossing). We will follow the new trail up a medium sized hill and down on some crushed gravel paths. We will go straight through the new trails and fields and around some mulchy trails to our 800m loop around the mile mark. It is relatively wide, has mulch put down and contains a medium sized but very steep hill. You will pop out of the woods and return on the exact same path to the main field. A half perimeter will bring you to the main hills and the 2m mark. The traditional trail will bring you back to the main field and into the finish line.
ENTRY FEE
The $100 (one team) / $190 (both boys and girls) entry fee is due 8/27. Make the check out to Marist School and mail to

RESTROOMS
The restrooms are located all over the Marist campus. Small bathrooms are next to the concession stand and these are for coaches use only. Larger more accommodating facilities can be found in Centennial Center (no spikes permittd) near the parking lot #3 and under the Marist academic building (Chanel Building) behind Kuhrt Gymnasium on the ground level. There will also be many port-a-johns available near the starting line. Please instruct your athletes to use these facilities.
COMPETITION
Many of the top teams in Georgia from various classifications will be attending. I am pumped and you should be too.
MEDICAL STAFF/TRAINER
There will be several nurses and doctors on site for the entire meet. Marist will also have a trainer at the finish line, but all coaches are reminded that they are responsible for meeting the medical/training needs of their own teams.
MEET T-SHIRTS
The Georgia-famous commemorative 2014 Marist Double Dip t-shirts will be available to all teams. Shirts are once again not-white and will have all the competing schools on the back. Vintage stylet t-shirts and drifit shirts will be $15. Shirts can be purchased at the white tent in the athletes village. The theme has not been announced just yet, but it is awesome as usual.
LOST AND FOUND
The white registration tent will serve as the hub for lost and found items.
WATER
Water and powerade will be available to race finishers just past the finish line near the white registration tent.
DOGS
Please ask your parents and fans not to bring their dogs to the meet. We have had several dog-related incidents in the past and we do not want to repeat them.
