RACES
Varsity races will be scored and timed as well as the Junior Varsity races. Please do not enter any athletes in a Varsity/Junior Varsity race if they are unable to complete the 5k race in less than 30 minutes; enter them in the JV Unlimited Open Run. We hope to keep a tight schedule this year on our very well marked and bicycle led course. We will be using online registration forms again this year.

REGISTRATION
We will be using the ga.milesplit.us online entry forms. Directions can be found here for general registration: http://www.milesplit.us/pages/Online_Meet_Reg_Instructions and specific to our meet directions will be out closer to the meet day. We ask that you only register those athletes who will potentially run in the varsity or JV scored races. You do not need to enter any athlete that will be running the in unscored, JV unlimited race. All you need to do it enter 17-20 total athletes per gender (7 will run varsity and 10 will run JV) and you can choose on race day who runs in what race. You do not need to declare ahead of time. Please do not register your entire team, only those who will race in the varsity/JV scored races.

NUMBERS
Race numbers will be distributed to all registered athletes and will be used for official scoring and timing in both the Varsity and Junior Varsity races. Please follow the instructions found in your meet day packet regarding the numbers or see the information above in registration.

AWARD CEREMONY
Individual and team awards will be given out on the field immediately following the JV Unlimited Races. Awards will be given to the team winner and runner-up in the Varsity race, top fifteen individuals in the Varsity race, and the top two teams in the JV race. The top 10 runners of each JV race will receive their awards in the chute. There are no awards in the open race.

JV UNLIMITED OPEN RUN
This race is open to any high school GHSA athlete, but please note that it will not be scored and a clock running at the finish line will be the only timing for the race. Feel free to run any athletes you wish, but please remember that there will be an official JV Boys and Girls race for your ten best JV runners that are capable of running under 30 minutes. We will be stopping the clock at 30 minutes and beginning the next race in the official JV competitions.

EQUIPMENT DROP-OFF/PARKING
We kindly ask all buses to please pull all the way down the driveway, turn around, and drop off in front of Kuhrt Gymnasium or down along Centennial Center BEFORE stopping to unload runners and/or equipment. After drop off, any school buses or charter buses are asked to leave Marist and park in the Lowes parking lot 1.2m away or at Blackburn Park 0.4m away. Directions are below. Please follow the instructions of volunteer parking attendants to keep the traffic flowing and the runners safe. All tents should be placed inside the athletes village inside the softball field next to the finish line. Thank you.

Marist to Lowes turn right on Ashford Dunwoody Road, bear left onto Johnson Ferry Road, Lowes is on your right just before Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Please park as close to the Discount Tire store as possible and as close to Peachtree Industrial as possible.

Marist to Blackburn Park turn right on Ashford Dunwoody Road. Blackburn Park has two parking lots on your left.

SPECTATOR PARKING
Please inform your team parents that we invite them to attend. Again, because of traffic flow, we request that they pull all the way to the back of the driveway and park either in the large lot on the right after the infield, in the gravel overflow lot that follows, or the large new parking lot past the traffic circle and across the vehicle bridge. Parking attendants will assist.

DOGS
Please ask your parents and fans not to bring their dogs to the meet. We have had several dog-related incidents in the past and we do not want to repeat them.

COURSE
The course is completely different this year since we added 0.8m worth of new trails! It will begin with our standard 800m grassy loop before crossing a bridge and entering the new trails; we have added 1 good sized hill and 1 small hill on the new trails along with an additional bridge crossing done twice. There may or may not be hay bales. Athletes will complete the loop and return to soccer fields before entering the traditional Double Dip hills at approximately the 2m mark. What follows is 800m of challenging hills and 800m of flat grass and trail to the finish. It is very spectator friendly as you can see the start, ~first 0.5m, 1.75m-2m, and the finish from the same location. There are several road crossings and bridge crossings covered with a narrow rubber mats.

Last years shirts may be available at a discounted rate.

The white registration tent will serve as the hub for lost and found items.

WATER
Water and powerade will be available to race finishers just past the finish line near the white registration tent.
