As it has been for the majority of the season, GMC and Gordon Lee are lining up for what should be a great race in November. The schools seem to be getting ready for the push over the next few weeks of Area and then State. Lots of teams were off due to fall break. (via MileSplit)
Gonna be a great race at State between Harrison, Cambridge, Alexander and Creekview who may sweep 1-2 individual spots.. (via MileSplit)
Alpharetta and Richmond Hill become Podium contenders. Creekview back in the top 10. (via MileSplit)
If you're involved as a coach, runner, or parent in 4A in Georgia this year, you have to be so thrilled and so frustrated at the same time. There were 4 4A boys squads in the top 10 at Coach Wood. Marist boys regained their position at the top of the standings. Blessed Trinity, St. Pius, and North Oconee boys are crazy close to one another. (via MileSplit)
There are 3 All Class girls squads coming out of the same region (7AAAA). St Pius girls made some huge gains, again making 4A girls Podium an extremely close call with White Co, Blessed Trinity, North Oconee, and Oconee. (via MileSplit)
(via MileSplit) Clarkston explodes to 4th after winning the Angora Invitational. Big showdown at Region 3-AAAAA as top 3 go head to head.
Not too many surprises from the top 3, however, it's quite a log jam battling it out for a podium spot in early November. (via MileSplit)
South Forsyth is in the drivers seat heading into Area meets.November 3 is going to be intense as it looks like 3 of the 4 podium spots are a lock, leaving one up for grabs. (via MileSplit)
Marist is 2nd in state normally, but with an entire team performance off they fall for this week. Milton keeps the top spot with a tempo run. (via MileSplit)
Great American determines top 3 spots. Westminster rolls at Asics. (via MileSplit)
Minor movement as many AAAAAA Boys squads duked it out at Asics. Gainesville cracks the top 10. (via MileSplit)
Asics/Alexander had a big influence pf Week 8 team rankings. Harrison and Johns Creek made the trek to Disney (FL) (via MileSplit)
Georgia HS Boys ran great in 4 different States this past week. Jacob McLeod was 3rd at Great American.
Banks Co is back; they finally returned a result this week retaining the top spot, but Bleckley Co looks a very close 2nd. All of the upward movement from last week due to s short course at the Rome Floyd Co Championship (3 Mile or less) has proven unsustainable, so Armuchee and Pepperell are headed south in a hurry. 3-6 spots seems to be a battle between south Ga teams. (via MileSplit)
Bleckley County girls looked strong at the Bleckley Invitational. Their top three are likely to be in top ten in November. St Vincent's showed their hand at Bleckley placing them in the #2 spot. Banks Co. finally showed back up, with results the past 2 weeks and they look solid. Armuchee fell this week after failing to back up the performance from Floyd Rome Championship. Berrien Co slips this week and will need to close their 1-5 gap before state to have any chance of a podium finish. (via MileSplit)
Gordon Lee cements itself as the team to end Towns County’s run at the top. (via MileSplit)
These rankings are based on known times. If a school does not post their times, they can not be ranked. You can even e-mail Bruce Taylor and he will get you in contact with the ranking committee so that all schools and be ranked. GMC and Gordon Lee once again are at the top of the rankings. As it sits right now between the top three runners, there is almost no difference. Runners 4-7 will make or break who is crowned state champion in Carrollton this November. Commerce makes some gains as well. As always the state championship will be decided by the runners 4-7. For the moment, advantage GMC. (via MileSplit)
It was a shame to not see Milton get after it with some of the Nation’s best at Great American however perhaps they are saving it for Nike SE. GA still had some great showings by the rest of GA teams, most notably Lambert. Peachtree Ridge gets back into the top 10 with a blazing 16:09 avg at Asics. Only Walton will be missing out of the top 8 in the Coach Wood Championship Race. (via MileSplit)
South Forsyth continues to hold the number 1 spot by a considerable margin. This weekend will be the last chance for teams to see if they can try to keep up with the Eagles at Coach Wood before entering the post season. Should be another great race with the top 8 teams other than West Forsyth and Walton present. (via MileSplit)
Mountain Invitational has large influence on Week 8 Boys rankings (via MileSplit)
Westminster coming together, won Champ Girls race at Asics. Mountain Invite had AAA NE GA squads going head to head... (via MileSplit)
There was a lot of movement in 4A rankings this week, with Great American, FSU, Mountain Invite, Westover, and ASICS in play. Marist and St. Pius represented Georgia well in the Nike Race of Champions at Great American. White County and North Oconee had huge days at Mtn Invit. Woodward's boys ran 1:11 faster on avg at ASICS than they did at Wingfoot a week ago. (via MileSplit)

At this point the top 4 teams are really tight and it looks like any 4 could stand atop the podium in a month. Buford makes their debut in the top 10 after a good week of racing. (via MileSplit)
Asics/Alexander helped sort out AAAAA Boys in Week 8. Watch List: Veterans: 18:00 @ Houston County Championships, Clarkston: 18:18 @ Dekalb County Championships (via MileSplit)
