“Gwinnett County Championship: GOLD OUT” Chris Carter Sep 19, 2013

For perhaps the first time ever, a “Gold Out” (similar to football games & basketball games’ “black out” or “white out”) will be attempted at a cross country meet.  September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and gold is the color that represents Childhood Cancer Awareness.  Several Gwinnett teams (including Brookwood, Grayson, Hebron Christian, & Mill Creek among others) & their fans will be donning gold t-shirts & warm-ups in honor of the Amanda Riley Foundation & Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Peachtree Ridge, the meet host, has also been extremely supportive of this first-ever event.  For those who would like to know more about Childhood Cancer Awareness Month & the Amanda Riley Foundation, go to www.amandarileyfoundation.org.

Coach Wood Meet Preview Chris Carter Oct 13, 2010

Coach Christie of Mill Creek has turned his meet into one of the most competitive late-season meets in the Southeast. Coach Wood has the potential to be more competitive than the Georgia state meet since teams and individuals from all classifications will be competing against each other. In fact, Coach Wood is loaded with good teams to the point that both the Championship & Varsity races have ranked teams in them!
