Its been brewing all season ever since Clarkston and Forsyth Central met at Bob Blastow on the quick Clinton Farms course and the Angoras gored the Bulldogs in the backside in the Varsity Boys 2 race by 12 points and come Saturday, it will be settled.  The Individual race will ask the question of who is going to put it all on the line and leave it out on the course trying to beat defending champ Logan Poteet from Kell who only was defeated at Coach Wood..  Pictured is Abbas Abbkar of Clarkston who will attempt to lead the Angoras to a state title.

Tyler Barber's mammoth performance at the Gwinnett County Championship earns him All-Class 'Runner of the Week' Other Class 'ROWs' were Jack Bluth from Milton, Jonathan Pelham from Lagrange, Stephen Martinez of St.Pius X, Brian Vincent from Pepperell and 2 freshmen from the 'Small School' classes: Jack Douglass of Pace Academy, and Griffin McCauley of Paideia who finished just ahead of Douglass at Coach Daley.
Meet Summary · Sep 21, 2014
Cooler temperatures and lower humidity greeted the grateful runners at the 4th Annual Coach Daley Invitational.  Sam Bowie of LaGrange and Kathryn Foreman of Landmark Christian took advantage of the pleasant conditions and the relatively flat, fast course and blazed their way to solid victories.

This was closer than most would have projected as Lagrange threw the gauntlet down and actually led Marist thru the first 4 runners giving defending champ and overwhelming favorite Marist a scare. Marist prevailed by just 17 points led by sr.Daniel Navarro who had an extremely rewarding race capturing the overall title clocking a 16:13. Hakeem Mustafaa will be on everyone's radar in 2014 Outdoor Track with his overall runnerup finish.

Class AAAA Scouting Report Marist's Boys, barring injury will repeat as 4A Champs. It will be interesting to watch how they will stack up against the Mill Creek's and St.Pius and other top caliber teams during the season at meets like Great American and Coach Wood, but the goal for the War Eagles every year is to peak at State, and dominate....Marist's Girls are just as dominant as their counterparts and have won 13 state titles in 17 seasons. They had a much closer call at State as Heritage-Catoosa (a relatively new school) was clearly em good competition and could again. Pickens County, Grady (yes, Grady), Alexander, Carrollton, Veterans, River Ridge and Columbus should all be competitive for a Podium run.
