Well most everybody has spent the week looking at region meet results. And with good reason, the GHSA championship season has almost completed it's first round and there was so much that happened. We will explore that in greater detail later.

For now, it's time to turn our eyes to the next generation as they have their biggest meet of the season. It's crazy to think how far the Georgia Middle School State Championships have come. They had very humble beginnings and now it's one of the biggest meets of the year! Many of the top high school athletes of today get their first taste of success at this meet 3-5 years ago. So while I know there are skeptics out there saying the middle school state meet is not that big of a deal...they're just wrong. It's true that it's not crucial to compete at this meet in order to have success at the next level. But we are now in an era where those who do well at this meet almost always do well at the high school level too. This meet is more important than it's ever been and that's alot of fun for everybody involved!
