Foreword: Another year, another State Championship. I've been writing these State Previews for a few years now, and there's always a sense of "This is going to be 8+ hours of staring at a computer screen while my students hopefully have zero questions about their study guide" mixed in with "Holy crap our state has so many awesome athletes to showcase and I can't wait to dig right in!" We've got a lot to get into here, so let's get after it!
The way I'll handle this is give an event-by-event breakdown (in order of event FINALS) and make note of contending teams / highlight individual favorites. Hopefully, this article will educate everyone from the most casual of fans to the most analytical of coaches so that, come the State Championships at McEachern, everyone who will have read this article will have a great idea of the individual and team threats.
