Chris Nelson Running the 4th fastest boys 100m time in state history
We're going to finish up track season by determining which performance was the best throughout the year. The performances have been divided up into four categories that will be voted on this week - Sprint Relays, Sprints/Hurdles, Distance, and Field Events. This week we will vote on each category independently. Then next week you'll get a chance to vote on the top two from each category (boys and girls separately) and then the final week of the month we'll put those winners in one final poll to determine who truly was the best.
We will continue today with the sprints and hurdles. This year the top performers in the 100m were Chris Nelson (#4 all time) and Kaniya Johnson (#2 all time). In the 200m they were Rashun Fountain (#6 all time) and Yahnari Lyons (#2 all time). In the 400m they were Will Sumner (#1 all time) and Adaejah Hodge (#7 all time). In the 100/110m hurdles they were Malik Mixon and Jasmine Harmon (#4 all time). And in the 300m Hurdles they were Malik Mixon (#2 all time) and Jessicka Woods.
