Ruby Little blitzed an 18:54 to win the 4A state meet.

Samantha McGarity of Harrison tops a phenomenal sophomore class with her time of 18:39 which was the fastest time of the entire meet from the 2021 GHSA State Championships. Ruby Little from Marist also broke 19:00 with her 18:54, the second fastest time of the weekend. Catherine Townsend of North Atlanta put up a 19:07 to take 3rd on the list while Caroline Hood from Pace Academy was next with her 19:09. A total of nine sophomore girls broke 20:00 at state with Isabel Yonas running 19:45, Jessica Sheehan ran 19:48, Brooklyn Crabtree ran 19:58, Claire Petersen ran 19:58, and Sophia Cook ran 19:59. Morgan Grace Sheffield rounds out the top 10 with her 20:01 but shoutout to 1A public champion Marissa Kimple from Armuchee who ran 20:03 to finish 11th in the rankings.
