North's boys would be much tougher next Saturday at Carrollton if Harper Sigler was healthy. The Titans were not challenged at Lamar Murphy Park adding another Region title to their legacy. Junior,Tyler Jones of NOHS has come into his own, winning  the overall boys title in 16:04. Cole Thornton (16:28) and Thomas Moore (16:29) swept the top 3 spots for the Titans. Oconee County and East Jackson came down to a 6th runner tiebreak with Oconee County placing 2nd led by Michael Hans 6th place effort in 16:50. East Jackson HS looks strong for the future as frosh Chase Kennedy was 4th overall in 16:35 followed by team leader Noah Hulett in 5th at 16:47.  Hart County placed 4th as a team making it to state.
Hart's super frosh, Audrey Honiotes,  claimed the overall girls title winning unchallenged posting a 18:52, making her as one of the top AAA gals to perhaps challenge for a state title. North Oconee was too strong to be tested, placing 5 girls in the top 11 positions and may have a shot at a Podium spot next Saturday running away with the team championship. Allie Dominicali has risen to the top of the totem pole for NOHS, placing 2nd overall in 20:26 and Dorie Faber shored up the team win placing 4th in 20:38. Alyssa Beckstead of Oconee placed 3rd overall a few strides back in 20:31.  Jackson County and Hart County qualified to run at State.
