Girls: It was an showdown at Wingfoot this week, almost every team seemed to not quite have all cylinders firing. We will see another big time match up between the top 4 and more at Coach Wood, will the gap increase or shrink? (via MileSplit)

The Rome Floyd Championship race has some of the north Ga teams making big moves up the list whereas the South Ga Championship race has teams falling several spots. Some head to head questions were answered in both races. Banks Co has gone off the radar, but they are still the team to beat, but if Amruchee and Pepperell can put up other results to back up Saturday's performance look for a new #1 in the coming weeks. Head to head racing in the South answered some questions, but it's obvious the heat took its toll. (via MileSplit)
There was some good head to head racing in the north and south this week. The Floyd Championship race catapulted Armuchee to the top of the rankings this week. Bleckley girls were in control at South Ga Championship. (via MileSplit)
Anything after the top 2 spots in 5A is wide open. Hardly anything separates the #3-12 teams as of now. These rankings will start to shape up in the next few weeks when many will race head to head. (via MileSplit)

Bleckley is teetering on the top, but don't think they are out of reach of a strong Armuchee team, or the Jeff Davis squad. Berrien has a strong Individual in Rebecca Chandler , but with a 5 minute split from 1-5 it will be easy for them to slide downward over the coming weeks. Rockmart and Oglethorpe are evenly matched. St Vincent's usually starts slow early in the season, but closes toward the podium spots by November. (via MileSplit)
Banks and Bleckley are pretty evenly matched, but Bleckley is young; advantage Banks. Toombs looks poised to challenge at the top. Jeff Davis and Armuchee would be a good race head to head. Pepperell, Coosa, Rockmart, and Gordon Central are very close and Dade Co breaks into the top ten. (via MileSplit)
Dawson moves ahead of North Hall after defeating them at Eagle Invitational. (via MileSplit)

Although there isn't a lot of movement this week, things are tightening up. With the Flowery Branch girls improving weekly the top 3 are now in a virtual tie and seem to have distanced themselves from everyone else. Jones County appears in the top 10 for the first time. Watch list - E. Paulding, Veterans and Riverwood (via MileSplit)
Big shake-up with the rankings this week. Some faster courses starting to work their way into the rankings picture. Things should become clearer over the next month as teams wind their way to Regionals. Things still appear wide-open after the top 2 spots with every team in the top 10 having a chance to podium at this point. (via MileSplit)
Warpath, Trinity/Valkryie, Fulton County, and Greyhound, 4A was busy on Saturday. 6 of the top 8 girls squads were at Warpath. The rankers were left with some fun calculations this week with very talented Blessed Trinity squads racing the rigor of Fulton Co the same week as the fast track at Warpath. (via MileSplit)
On the boys side, the state was divided as Marist and Pius were in Louisville with the big boys and North Oconee and Oconee really impressed at Warpath. (via MileSplit)

Week 4 in 4A saw about half of the field getting after it somewhere. Marist girls enjoyed success at their Double Dip. North Oconee girls and Chestatee girls up a spot in the top 10, Warpath could be a great showdown for 4A.
