  • Ga.MileSplit Final Regular Season Cross Country Rankings

    These will be the Final Cross Country Rankings of the Fall Season as Region meets have already began this past Saturday. There was only a few minor changes in the larger classes as Last Chance is now a race that coaches run JVs and get their runners aqquainted with the course changes than racing all out.   With the 1A Private Area meets,  2 ranked teams did not qualify for State and others moved up. I was finally able to rank a top 8 in Boys A Public School and GISA completed their XC competition at their State Meet in Albany. Now we will begin to really find out who the best are as nearly everyone will be running their top 7. Let the games begin...

  • Week 9 Official Ga.MileSplit Cross Country Rankings

    The Nike-Fleet Feet Coach Wood race really shook up the All-Class and 6A Team Rankings this week. Marietta shot up to the top All-Class with their stellar performance. Mill Creek Boys stayed consistent placing 2nd and Norcross surpassed St. Pius X. On the Girls side its becoming a horse race between Walton and Brookwood as only a few points separated them Saturday. Milton made a big move into the 3rd spot overall after an excellent run. Marist held their ground and no one can touch them in 4A  Boys or Girls. The GISA State Championships are this Saturday at Southland Academy in Americus.

  • Week 8 Ga.MileSplit.com Official Cross Country Rankings

    Week 8 has a few shakeups as McIntosh Girls shot up to #1 in 5A and the Westminster Girls rose strongly to #5 All Class after their Asics race. Coach Wood should sort out the Big Guns on the Boys side as well as the Girls somewhat.  GISA Rankings are pending...

    Brookwood Boys continued to climb up the Rankings ladder and Class A Public finally has enough data to rank a top 5! There was no movement in A Private this week.  GISA UPDATED.

  • Week 6 Ga.MileSplit.com Official Cross Country Rankings

    Great American shook up the All Class Boys Rankings as St. Pius X vaulted over 6A Mill Creek besting them head to head in the ROC. At  Aubrae Gunderson, Flowery Branch's Boys win in the White Race pushed them to the top of 5A and Greenbrier also made a big move upwards. Lakeside-Evans Girls win at AG moved them to the top spot. Wesleyan's Girls supplanted Westminster in 2A Girls after their performance at Great American.

  • Week 5 Official Ga.MileSplit.com Cross Country Rankings

    The Gwinnett County Championships, Alligator Lake (in Fla), Fulton County, the FPD Meet and the Battle of Atlanta  helped to sort things out and give a better outlook of the strength of the ranked squads. Mill Creek's Boys remain #1 All-Class and Walton's Girls jumped back up to the top on the Girls side. Athens Academy's boys made a statement down in Macon with a dominate win.  AAA Boys is almost a dead heat with Pius, North Hall and Woodward...

    Week 4 MileSplit GA Rankings are complete and have been e-mailed to Media outlets that we have contacts for. Brookwood moved up All-Classes to #4  including their Girls squad.

  • Week 3 Official Ga.MileSplit.com Cross Country Rankings

    Last weekend's BIG Races did create some movement in 6A and the All Class Rankings. Mill Creek's Boys moved up to #1 Overall and Peachtree Ridge looked strong again on both sides with their Girls taking the top spot in 6A.  Marist may be untouchable in 4A (no surprise there) Lakeside-Evans moved up to #1 based on their performance at Covered Bridge and North Hall surpassed St. Pius. ....

  • Week 2 Official Ga.MileSplit.com Cross Country Rankings

    Here they are..the 1st Official Ga.MileSplit.com Cross Country Rankings of the 2012 Season. Weekly rankings are based generally on how teams ran that week, and not on how good a ranker thinks that team is at full strength. Head-to-head competitions are extremely important, but become less so the more they age. Team average times are also very relevant, but are sometimes skewed by a team's front-runners. There's a lot of subjectivity in comparing courses....input appreciated!
