4A Girls Individual Rankings Through 2/24

With outdoor track and field meets (other than time trials) beginning on 2/8, it's time to take a look at some team "power rankings' by class. Being that COVID-19 derailed the 2020 season effective on 3/13/20, undoubtedly times and marks for probably across the board would be significantly better, to say the least. But, it's somewhere to get us started taking a look at which teams did have some individuals performing well the first month of last season. One disclaimer, relays cannot take into account what members of them graduated. However, being that the 4x800 will be scored at State in May it will be included as part of the equation. One big rule change for 2021 is the number of events an athlete may compete in and in the post-season only one relay team is allowed per event. This could possibly factor in with teams having athletes that are talented in three individual running events... On paper, Jefferson is loaded and the favorite to win the state title. Look for Miller Grove, Arabia Mountain, and Marist to present a strong challenge. Monroe-Albany can never be counted out on their home track and may have some talented freshman this season.

2020 ga HS F Outdoor Track Team Scores (Returners Only)

These rankings were calculated by scoring the rankings as a meet. We took the individual rankings and relay rankings and scored them as a normal meet: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

Athletes whose graduation years are unknown were left out of the list.
