Henry Dwyer's HS career is highlighted by being named Gatorade's Georgia Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year 2012-2013. Dwyer had a phenomenol senior season after suffering a heartbreaking disapointment in the 2012 GA Olympics falling ill and unable to compete in the 800m A Finals. He led the Spartans to the State Boys Cross Country title in the Fall and got some sweet redemption at the 2013 GA Olympics sweeping the A Private 1600 and 800 and won the Top Performance Award in the 1600 clocking a 4:10.84. 2 weeks later he made the trip down to Golden South and placed 2nd in the Mile with a converted 4:10.46. Dwyer maintained a 3.71 GPA in the classroom and was awarded a scholarship to UGA in Cross Country and Track and Field. Image by Walter Pinion Photography
