St.Pius X boys will be hard to beat easily qualifying all their top scorers for the Ga Olympics..its possible they could sweep the distance events, throws and horizontals making it a race for the next 3 team positions.  On the girls side of 'A' sectionals, Pius did well with the girls who survived Region. Out of Sectional 'B' at East Jackson,  Franklin County, Buford and Johnson Savannah will bring some speed down to Albany.  White County, North Hall, Hart County and North Oconee dominated the distance races and should be a factor. North OC's girls also q'd their top Field athletes into state, including Mary Terry who cleared 5-8 in the HJ and could score well in the Hurdles.  For the boys, North Hall and North OC jousted in all the distance events and will be chasing the Pius X guys next weekend. The heat on the Track in Jefferson will come from Elbert County, Buford and Washington County. Can WACO's Q'Poole go sub 47 in the 400m? Preston Smith from SE Bulloch will be gunning to triple in the Jumps.
