Location: Johnson County High School (Wrightsville)
***The games committee has agreed to use video replay for the
running events if necessary. The ONLY video equipment that will be used to make
decisions related to the finish of the race will be the video equipment
designated by the region.

at each event.

Note: We are required to report the Top 6 finishers to the
State, so please break all necessary ties in field events.

General Information
1. Admission is free to spectators. There will be concessions.
2. The Track has six lanes, is all-weather, and hand
timing will be used.
3. Shot Put and Discus areas are concrete.
4. Starting blocks will be provided.
5. Shots and Discus will be inspected, weighed, and
marked.
6. Each school may enter three athletes in each
individual event and one relay team in the relay events.
7. All heats and flights will be set according to times,
distances, and heights from entry form.
8. All teams are required to remain off the infield
during the running events. If athletes are on the field without permission they
may be disqualified.
9. We will be scoring 8 places. However, only the top 6 runners
will be allowed to compete in finals.
10. Champion and runner up trophies will be presented at the
conclusion of the meet.
11. All GHSA rules and regulations will be followed.
12. If a field event has 10 or more participants, then the
participants will be divided into two
groups (Two Flights). Flight participants will receive 4
attempts. The Top 4 overall marks qualify for State Sectionals. If there are 9
or less participants, then the field event will be one flight with 4 attempts,
and the Top 4 marks qualify for State Sectionals.
13. Spectators will only be allowed on the track during field
events.
14. Paper copies of the results will be posted.
15. Preferred Lanes 6 lane track: 3,4,2,5,1,6
16. The top 1 from each heat and the next fastest times up to
6 total finalists will advance to the
finals.
17. Athletes competing in events held at the same time should
report to both the Field Judge and the Clerk of the Course.
18. Johnson County staff will be at each field event
location. Please send results to the finish line
at the conclusion of the last
flight of each session.
Just in case we
get off schedule, running events take precedence over field events and vertical
events take precedence over horizontal events.

The warm up area will be on the track
during field events. Once field events are complete the discus and shot field
will be the only warm up area. You can
only warm up on the infield once a first call is made.

Details about a hospitality room/meal ticket or area will
be provided at arrival.

In the Region and State meets, eight
(8) places shall be scored, with point totals counting as follows:
First Place = 10 points Second Place = 8 points
Third place = 6 points Fourth Place = 5 points
Fifth Place = 4 points Sixth Place = 3 points
Seventh Place = 2 points Eighth Place = 1 point
NOTE: When there is a tie, the points
will be divided equally among the contestants who are tied.
