Week 8 produced the fastest 'average time' of all the Girls 'ROW' selections. Freshman Kaylee Dupont from South Forsyth seems to improve weekly and her 2nd place finish at Fox Hall Sporting Club course at 17:38 earned her the All-Class 'Runner of the Week' honors. As an fyi, our rankers try to recognize a different ROW for each Class weekly.
Coverage
Chandler Kennedy of East Jackson (above) had the race of his career at Asics placing 3rd and besting twin brother Chase. The turf was on fire at Asics and Discussion Board for the wrong reasons after some tremendous competition. 6 of the 8 ROWs were from Asics including All-Class ROW Hakeem Mustafaa. I know very little about how courses are outside of Georgia, but Foot Locker South will sort out who the best are end of November.
Although not the 'featured' races of the day, 1A-4A and 5A-6A provided some fast racing and opportunity for runners to pr with only 2.5 weeks before region meets begin. Emma Grace Hurley blistered the course running all alone posting a 17:33..Ermais Tewolde of Druid Hills who clocked a 15:56 for the fastest boys time in these races. Northgate's girls ran well winning 5A-6A.
