I plan to run in college, and I am talking to some schools but I haven't decided yet
What's your most memorable race or race you're most proud of?
My freshman year I ran the freshman race at Starrs Mill and I remember leading the whole time and I ended up winning the race in a sprint, so it was definitely memorable!
What is your favorite meet in cross country season and why?
I like Wingfoot, it's always at a good time of year and the course is a lot of fun too. The last couple years we ran the night race and it was a really cool experience
What has been your biggest challenge in high school or what has been the hardest obstacle to overcome?
I got injured last year during track season, and so staying motivated and bouncing back for this year was hard, especially all the time I spent in the pool aquajogging and not being able to run
What is your daily/weekly mileage like?
About 40 miles per week, but with some cross training
What do you think is the biggest part of training that has helped you achieve success?
I think cross training has helped me, and it always makes training more fun to mix it up
What is your all time favorite workout?
I like mile repeats
What is your least favorite or hardest workout?
Long thresholds or fartleks
Who do you have to thank for your success?
My family for always supporting me, my coaches, my teammates and Kai Havertz
Who do you look up to the most in your event?
Jakob Ingebritsen and Alex Yee
What gets you pumped up for a workout or race?Just being on the line with the team is enough to get me ready, and by the time I finish my strides I'm always pumped up.
What is your favorite food and/or movie and/or TV show and/or song?
My favorite food is rice and my favorite TV show is Breaking Bad
What will you miss the most about high school?
Definitely my teammates, I will also miss the team culture. Also the morning workouts running laps around the school I will miss a lot.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Just have fun, don't stress a bad race and just be grateful that you can go out there and run. I'd also probably say to play more sports and not put too much focus into running.
