                                                                                        HS BOYS

  East Jackson defended their home turf beating 6A team Mountain View by 32 points. Chase Kennedy again led the way taking the overall win in 16:17 in a tight batlle with Mountain View's Tyler Barber at 16:18. The Eagles top 4 is looking tough early as Noah Hulett was maybe 40 meters back in 16:26 taking 3rd, Chandler Kennedy placed 4th in 17:04 and Vladik Staples took 7th in 17:03. Bobby Tucker of Mountain View chipped in placing 5th in 17:05. Archer's boys took 3rd place in team scoring. 

                                                                                       HS GIRLS   

 Athens Christian's girls ran well winning the HS team title by placing 4 finishers in the top 11 spots besting Mountain View by 14 points. This should reflect in Tuesday's 'official' Week 2 rankings (our first, not AJC.com) as we prefer a couple of weekend's action before ranking. Frosh Tanner Guest led ACS placing 2nd in 20:47 with Elizabeth Gunther 3rd at 21:09. East Jackson displayed a new talent as frosh Sue Anne Moralis was the overall titleist posting an impressive 20:43 in her first race. Abby Kettle from GAC was 4th in 21:27 and leading Mountain View to a 2nd place team finish was Alyssa O'Neill at 21:40                                                                       

                                                                                        MS BOYS

 Great Strides Club from Cumming was neck and neck with ACS thru the top 8 finishers but their depth made the difference placing 4 runners in the top 9 taking the MS boys team title. Leading the way for Great Strides was Surya Rangaswamy taking overall runnerup in 9:48 and 7th grader Michael Patterson in 5th at 10:03. ACS' efforts were paced by overall champ Noah Irwin in 9:41, Orlando Stephens (10:20) and Samuel Hayes (10:24) Rounding out the top 5 individuals were Alan Jiminez of Habersham MS (9:53) and Oglethorpe's Dawson Frey (9:56)

  Great Strides' Girls made it a sweep for the Club squad making the long ride home more fun. They put 4 gals in the top 7 finishers sealing the victory. A pair of 7th graders paved the way for Great Strides sweeping the top 2 overall spots including Caroline Patterson (10:17) and Katya Bessiere (10:23) ACS again took runnerup team honors having 4 runners finish in the top 11. Gabrielle Martin sparked the Golden Eagles placing 6th clocking a 11:19. Rounding out the top 5 individuals were Piper Kay of Team Fusion (11:08), Brianna O'Neal of Great Strides (11:05) and also of Team Fusion Bryce Phillips (11:15)
