4A Boys Pre-Season Rankings #4

These are subjective rankings (not computer generated) they take into account returning team rankings, team rankings in the 1600 and 3200 from outdoor track, and a school's "Improvement Rating."  Improvement Rating is a metric developed by researching the improvement in a team's final place at State from 2011-2013. Each category is given rank points and added up coming to a final point total. Some squads made up for high point totals, getting ranked higher by virtue of number of returners (top 7) and by fastest returning XC team average.  Not all XC runners do Track (Soccer mostly) which can affect Outdoor team rankings, but generally not the top 5-7 teams)

                                 Senior Tyler Jones will be a frontrunner for the Titans this Fall XC season

North Oconee is going to have their most talented group of guys in school history out on the trails this Fall and the time is now to take advantage.  The Titans had disapointing finishes of 5th the past 2 seasons after making the Podium in 2011. What is not showing in the XC returning Rankings is that Junior Harper Sigler dnr last Fall due to injury and we saw what he can do healthy on the Track last Spring winning the 3A 800m title and clocking a 4:22 for 3rd in the 1600m. A pair of seniors should provide leadership in Tyler Jones (16:04) and Cole Thornton (16:17) Jr Thomas Moore returns with a pr of 16:29, and soph Anthony Potts is back with a pr of 16:54, though he was injured? during Track season possibly.
