AJ Johnson from Hart County is #1 all-classes in the Pole Vault at 16-0.25
Westminster is in the driver's seat to win the 3A boys state title led by middle-distance ace Matthew Fernando, especially after Hart County's Matthew Brown suffered a pelvis injury earlier in the season, that occurred in the Steeplechase at a Marietta hosted event. Hart County has a balanced squad led by vaulter AJ Brown. Liberty County is a wild card loaded with speed, led by stud Meon McLeod, and Morgan County is quite a surprise to be ranked 4th in the power rankings. What everyone will be waiting to watch at Albany is a showdown between future UVA 'Wahoos' Andrew Jones of North Hall and Justin Wachtel from Mary Persons HS. They race at Sectionals on Saturday but will cruise in the 3200.
