What a treat cross country fans will get on Saturday at Carrollton. We have quite the intriguing lineup for State this year with the top 2 teams for the girls pretty cut and dry.

Ok, clearly Milton is on the verge of their first XC State Title.In other interesting news, could Gwinnett county fail to have a podium team including an end to Brookwood's amazing podium streak?I doubt it and I think we will get a better idea at Coach Wood, Saturday really seemed to have a strange feel on not any team completely on...except for Milton of course. Racing will be hot Saturday afternoon, but temperatures will be cool and the course could be wet and sloppy. Spectators, you may need to be bussed over from nearby schools. Information will be sent out as soon as possible. Either way it will be a fun day of racing.

For AAAAAA, Robert Dunning scored big for Kennesaw Mtn as he 'Tripled' sweeping the Hurdles in 14.19/38.72 and clearing 6-6 in the HJ. Shanel Burr of North Cobb swept the Hurdles events in 14.03/44.27 making her the woman to beat at Sectionals/State earning her AAAAAA Girls 'Region Athlete of the Week'
Every athlete who won their category this past week ending 3-17 for the 6A Boys division had performances very worthy of the 6A Boys overall 'AOW'. But one stoodout as Daniel Ellis of Collins Hill set the MileSplit National leading time in the 2000 meter Steeplechase at the Coaches Invitational in 6:13.96
Chelsea Crayton of Hillgrove HS signs NLI with the University of North Texas. As a student-athlete, Chelsea will compete as a Hurdler and 400M Sprinter. Chelsea holds the School Record for the 400M and 100MH. Congrats to Chelsea and much success at UNT. Go Mean Green!
