2026 GAPPS Middle School Track and Field Championships
Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026
Location: Eagles Landing Christian Academy (2400 GA-42 N, McDonough, GA, 30253)
Team Entry Fee: $75 per team
- Checks made payable to GAPPS
- Memo: GAPPS MS Championship
- The entry fee will assist in paying for the automatic timing services and the USATF starter.
Entry Information: Limited to MS eligible athletes (Grades 5th-8th)
- 3 Individual Events and 4 Total Events MAX per Athlete
- Relays, high jump, and triple jump -> 2 max per event, per team
- Individual running events, long jump and throws -> 3 max per event, per team
Meet Regulations:
- 100 meter Hurdles (30" girls, 33" boys)
- 300 meter Hurdles (30" girls & boys)
- Discus (1k girls and boys) | Shot Put (6lb girls, 4k boys)
- High Jump height for girls/boys will start at 40
Heats/Trials:
- All running events will be timed finals; there will be no preliminary heats for this event.
- Athletes will have 3 attempts in the long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus.
- At the high jump, each participant will be allowed up to three (3) attempts at each designated height.
Scoring:
The top eight places in individual and relay events will be scored at this meet: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Awards:
- Teams scoring the most points overall in all combined events will be recognized as the team champion, receiving a 1st place trophy. Separate Boys & Girls.
- Teams who finish in 2nd place will receive a runner-up trophy. Separate Boys & Girls.
- Athletes who finish in the top 8 in all individual & relay events will each be awarded a medal. (Except in 4x200 and 4x800 Exhibition events which we award only top 3)
- The top Individual Male and Female- scoring the most points for their team will be awarded the High Point Award.
- Awards can be collected at the awards tent once results are posted online. Athletes must be accompanied by a coach or parent when collecting awards.
Gate Fee for Spectators:
- $8 for Adults, $5 for Students, Kids 5 and Under Free
- Cash, Card, or GoFan (link to be sent out later)
- GAPPS Coaches Passes Accepted

Pre-Meet Order of Events:
- 8:45 am -> Teams are allowed to enter the stadium to set up tents
- 9:00 am -> Spectators are welcome to begin entering the gate
- 9:15 am -> Coaches & Volunteer meeting
- 9:45 am -> Opening Ceremonies

Session I: Start 10:00 am
- Girls Shot Put
- Boys Discus
- Girls & Boys Long Jump (2 runways)
Session II: Start 11:00 am
- Boys Shot Put
- Girls Discus
- Girls High Jump
Session III: Start 12:00 pm
- Boys High Jump
- Girls & Boys Triple Jump (2 runways)
Order of Running Events (Rolling Schedule Starting at 10:15am):
- Girls 3200m Run, followed by Boys 3200m
- Girls 100m Hurdles, followed by Boys 100m Hurdles
- Girls 100m Dash, followed by Boys 100m Dash
- Girls 4x800m Relay, followed by Boys 4x800m Relay(exhibition)
- Girls 4x200m Relay, followed by Boys 4x200m Relay (exhibition)
- Girls 1600m Run, followed by Boys 1600m Run
- Girls 4x100m Relay, followed by Boys 4x100m Relay
- Girls 400m Dash, followed by Boys 400m Dash
- 15 minute Break to Set Hurdles
- Girls 300m Hurdles, Boys 300m Hurdles
- Girls 800m Run, followed by Boys 800m Run
