2025 GAPPS Middle School Track and Field Championship Meet
Date: Saturday, April 12, 2025
Location: Eagles Landing Christian Academy (2400 GA-42 N, McDonough, GA, 30253)
Registration opens Monday, March 31 and ends at 11pm on Tuesday, April 8
Entry Fee: $75 per team
Entry Information: Limited to MS eligible athletes (Grades 5th-8th)
3 Individual Events and 4 Total Events Max per Athlete
Relays, high jump, triple jump, and pole vault -> 2 max per event, per team
Individual running events, long jump & throws -> 3 max per event, per team
Meet Regulations:
100 & 300 meter Hurdles (30" girls, 33" boys)
Discus (1k girls and boys) | Shot Put (6lb girls, 4k boys)
High Jump height for girls/boys will start at 4'0
Pole vault girls/boys start at 6'0
Heats/Trials:
All heats will be run as a final against the clock, with no prelims for this event.
Athletes will have 3 attempts in the long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus.
At the high jump and pole vault events, each participant will be allowed up to three (3) attempts at each designated height.
Scoring:
The top eight places in individual and relay events will be scored at this meet: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Awards:
Teams scoring the most points overall in all combined events will be recognized as the team champion, receiving a 1st place trophy. Separate Boys & Girls.
Teams who finish in 2nd place will receive a runner-up trophy. Separate Boys & Girls.
Athletes who finish in the top 8 in all individual & relay events will each be awarded a medal. (Except in 4x200 and 4x800 Exhibition events which we award only top 3)
The top Individual Male and Female- scoring the most points for their team will be awarded the High Point Award.
Gate Fee for Spectators:
$8 for Adults, $5 for Students/Seniors, Kids 5 and Under Free
