Locust Grove High School XC is honored to host the Henry County Championship.
5K Route
Yellow Box - START LINE
Yellow Line - 1st Mile
Blue Line - 2nd Mile
Red Line - 3rd Mile
Red Circle - FINISH
Middle School
Yellow Box - START LINE
Yellow Line - 1st Mile
Blue Line - Starts end of 1st Mile
Orange Turn - Where MS will turn to finish (instead of going into the trail a 2nd time).
We will start at the LGHS Practice Field (YELLOW RECTANGLE).
Athletes will begin run into the trail, and the 1st mile will be near the GREEN POWER box at LGMS.
Athletes will run between the LGMS sidewalk & LGMS Practice Field then take a LEFT at the Greenhouse.
Athletes will run up to the LGHS practice field - make a loop behind the start line and run the route a 2nd time. The FINISH LINE will be on the LGHS Practice Field. (RED CIRCLE).
Middle School will make a big loop on the practice field (ORANGE ARROW) and then run into the trail one time, and to the FINISH LINE (RED CIRCLE).
Please make sure to either bring your payment with you or mail it in time to be received by Friday, 10/4.
The cost is
*$125 BOYS HIGH SCHOOL TEAM
*$125 GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL TEAM
*$100 BOYS MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM
*$100 GIRLS MIDDLE SCHOOL TEAM
($175 if both Middle School Teams are participating - MS is a separate entry from HS).
*This is to cover medals, trophies, starter and timer. * It will cost $5 per spectator. GHSA passes will be accepted. A concession stand will be open. Contact Brooke Meadows with questions and for password: Malynda.Meadows@henrhy.k12.ga.us cell 770-286-3840.

8:00 Varsity Girls 5K (limit 10)
8:40 Varsity Boys 5K (limit 10)
9:20 JV Boys and Girls combined * 5k (unlimited)
Varsity Awards at the conclusion of the JV race
10:00 MS Boys and Girls combined *3K
* Will separate boys and girls if too many.
Awards: TOP three teams in each VARSITY and MS race will be awarded trophies.
Medals will be awarded as follows:
VARSITY runners:
1st-7th will be 1st Team County AND 8th-14th will be 2nd Team County
JV and MS Top 10 finishers in each race will be awarded a medal at the finish line.
FROM I-75 - Exit 212 Bill Gardner Pkwy. Turn east and travel .5 miles to GA Hwy 42 / US Hwy 23. Turn right (South) and travel .4 miles to Peeksville road. Turn left (East) and travel 3 miles to South Ola Road. Turn right (South) and travel .3 miles to the middle school entrance (past the baseball stadium). There is bus parking next to the stadium (at the middle school).
