2023 Region 3-AAAAAA Track and Field Championship

Boys and Girls Schedule of Events
All times, distances, and heights submitted will be verified using ga.milesplit.com for seeding. If a time, distance, or height cannot be verified using ga.milesplit.com, the athlete or relay team will be moved into the slower heat (running) or into the 1st flight (field events)
All times must be FAT. Hand-held times are not accepted. By using this process, we will eliminate any time, distance, or height submitted that has not been achieved during the 2023 spring season, thereby creating a fair and accurate seeding of our region Meet. 
Please Register using the provided link and password . Registration will close on Sunday, April 23rd at 10:00pm. At that point, the only changes that can be made must be 1 for 1. There will be NO re-seeding or adds.
Meet Schedule
9:00am: Coaches Meeting
Home side of stadium at the 50-yard line on the track

9:30am: 1600 Meter Run
(1 heat of Girls; 1 heat of Boys; Waterfall Start)

9:30am: Field Events
1st flight per event in Pole Vault and High Jump, seeded worst to best
2nd  flights per event in Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, and Discus, seeded worst to best.
3 Preliminary jumps or throws per contestant.
Top 9 preliminary jumps or throws advance to finals in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, and Discus. Athletes will receive 3 more attempts. Any of the 6 attempts may win the event.
12:00 Noon 1:30pm: Lunch Break

2:00pm: Remainder of the Running Events Begin
2:00pm 4x800m Relay

2:25pm 100m Hurdles /110m Hurdles

2:45pm 100m Dash

3:05pm 4x200m Relay

3:25pm 3200m Girls

3:45pm 4x100m Relay

4:05pm 400m Run

4:25pm 300m Hurdles

4:45pm 800m Run

Clerk of Course Tent: will be located in the end zone nearest the high jump pit.

Warm ups Area
: will be marked with flags and pylons at the 50yd line with the warm up area being from the 50yd line to the end zone nearest the long jump pits The infield from the 50yd line to the clerking area is off limits for sitting and gathering. Keep athletes that are not competing in the called events out of this area of the infield.
Jury of Appeals:
One coach from every school not involved in protest.
We will abide by all GHSA rules. This means no electronic devices on the infield or areas of competition and uniforms must be according to code.
All teams will sit on the visitors side of the stadium with team tents being set up towards the top.

Breakfast and Lunch for Coaches will be provided at 8:45 AM (Breakfast) and 12PM (Lunch).
