Milton Showcase Invitational 2023

Thank you for entering the Milton Showcase! This year we plan to host our met using a 1-day format that combines many of the races teams have enjoyed competing in over the past 14 years that highlight some unique distance and sprinting events, along with your traditional track and field events.

Team Awards:

Top overall Program (combined boys/ girls scores); Meet Champion Boys Team; Meet Champion Girls Team

Medals:

1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place individual and relay team awards will be issued during the meet.

Field Event Information:

Throwers: Shot put and Discus- 3 and possible 4 attempts; no finals; Minimal distance in Discus only: Boys 100/ Girls
70; Minimal distance in Shot put 40 Boys/ Girls 30; a 4th attempt will be awarded to athletes with a measurement
beyond the minimal mark after their first 3 attempts. Implements will be weighed on the infield. Illegal implements will
be held and labeled for coaches to pick-up during the track meet.

Long and Triple Jump: 3 attempts; no finals

Vertical jumps: Opening Height: High Jump- Girls-4'4; Boys-5'4" Pole Vault- Girls-7'; Boys-9'. Will adjust if needed.

Meet Entry Rules:

Our goal is to run a fast and efficient meet, please be mindful when entering your runners in this meet. We will be following GHSA entry guidelines:

A contestant may officially compete in:

1. Four individual events - NO Relay events.

2. Three individual events - May be listed on any number of relay events but compete in only one relay event.

3. Two individual events - May be listed on any number of relay events but compete in only two relay events.

4. One individual event - May be listed on any number of relay events but compete in only three relay events.

5. NO individual events - May be listed on any number of relay events and compete in all four relay events.

Team Setup:

Teams can setup tents on the visitor side of the stadium or at the very top of the home side. PLEASE do not allow your team to setup tents in the lower levels of the home side for the stadium. Track field event layout below.

Bus parking:

Buses will drop off athletes in the front of the stadium along the sidewalk. After dropping athletes off, please inform drives that they will be required to park in the bus loading area (bus drivers drive toward the exit and turn left, drive past the front of the school, and make the first left before going down the hill). At the end of the meet, drivers should be instructed to pick-up athletes along the sidewalk area in front of the school on the stadium side.

Gate entry fee: Ticket sales will be sold digitally via GoFan.
