Erwin Ross Invitational
Coaches,
We hope that your seasons are getting off to a great start. The Erwin Ross Invitation is only weeks away. We are excited about this year's event. Coach Erwin Ross was inducted into the GA Hall of Fame in January 2023. What an amazing accomplishment. Please help us congratulate him at the meet! Most of you know that Griffin-Spalding County was hit hard by the tornadoes last month. Our track and field facilities were damaged and will not be ready for us to host this meet at our usual location. The meet will now be hosted at Spalding High School 433 Wilson Road, Griffin GA. Spalding Hs is only 5 miles away. Please communicate this with your administration and parents. We are expecting a high level meet and a great experience for everyone. We will have smoked chicken and baked beans, grilled burgers, grilled hotdogs and more in our concession stands. We will also have a catered hospitality room for coaches and bus drivers. The grills will be smoking, and we will have a DJ playing music of all kinds. We have also added a high point trophy for the girl and boy athletes who score the most points. Good luck to you all! We are looking forward to seeing you.
Hello all, I'm Coach Antonio Andrews new track and field coach here at Griffin High School. We are excited about the 2023 Erwin Ross Invitational Meet. Here at Griffin High School, we have always run a first-class track and field program. We are excited about having you here competing and helping us represent our own Erwin Ross. Coach Ross has been a part of our track and field program since 1976 and yes, he is still here with us today. We are beyond grateful for that. We will be having the grill smoking and hospitality room for all coaches and bus drivers. First Call Timing will be providing live results to help the meet run as smooth as possible. We are looking forward to a well ran track meet. The Entry Fee will be $125 for one team and $200 for both boys' and girls' teams. We look forward to seeing you here.
