Meet Information

Kent Kramer began and founded the Athens Christian Cross Country program in the mid 90s - his life touched hundreds of kids when he coached track and XC at ACS for several years, prior to his untimely passing in a car accident while en-route to an ACS XC practice . Coach Kramer was a sub 4 minute miler (3:56), and an outstanding distance runner at the University of Michigan. It was my privilege to run for him, and my dad's privilege to coach with him at Athens Christian for many years; all the while gleaning much wisdom from him in our many conversations traveling to and from track and Cross events, as well as daily life instructions as he coached us. This meet will honor his memory as well as give kids a chance to do what he loved training them to do - run 3.1 miles as fast as they could go. Kent Kramer's encouragement to runners could be heard from one side of the course to the other - we look forward to hosting as many teams as possible on October 15 in his memory. Cayla Redish - Head ACS XC Coach Tim Cummings - Assistant.

The KKC meet will start with a Middle School race at 4:00 pm (boys at 4:00 / girls at 4:20) - Varsity Girls at 4:45 and boys at 5:15. Awards at 5:50. An entry fee of $70.00 per school is to help us cover our timer as well as awards. A $5.00 parking fee is to help us pay our parking staff and is in place of any admission fee to spectators.
