Kaleb McLeod had some company early in the AAA Boys race in the GISA State Championships but pulled away in Mile 2 posting a 15:30 for the win. It will be interesing to find out if he's been holding back something for Foot Locker South in 4 weeks as he was the top Georgia individual placing 15th in 2013.

It was a slow week of meets as Region meets began last Thursday. But Week 10's 'All Class ROW' came from the GISA State Championships as Ruthie Powell from the Heritage School dominated the last Mile clocking a 19:13 at Darton State's course.
By the time the AA races began it had warmed up considerably. When the dust had settled a new champion was crowned as Mill Springs (out of Alpharetta) won the Boys team title and Brentwood (Sandsersville) took the Girls team title back to Washington County. It was a great day of racing way down in Albany at Darton State College for the GISA State Cross Country Championships. The morning started out with temperatures in the high 40s, but as soon as the sun came up the temperatures warmed up quickly. The AAA boys team title was up for grabs as Southland and Trinity Christian Dublin had their 'Rubber Match' after going head to head thrice with TCD. Deerfield did a great job hosting the meet. Here are the Fifty Fastest GISA Boys heading into the State meet Saturday at the Darton State College course which is right around the corner of the new Westover course. It comes as no surprise that sr Kaleb McLeod from Trinity Christian Dublin sits atop the hill with a nice gap on everyone else. Can he qualify for Foot Locker Nationals this November?

MileSplit GA will have a photographer onsite and have a meet summary same night. Southland Academy seems to be the top Girls team along with Westminster Schools of Augusta. Two schools with good Girls programs last season jumped into the fire of GHSA competition in Mount De Sales and Stratford.
