Taking it to a new level! 17:38 and 17:41 for the Emilys!!

Another great day at Berry as the Clara Bowl once again lived up to expectations. The Parkview boys took the team title in the championship race over Brookwood by 3 points and yet the story of the day had to be the performance of two young ladies with the same first name. The Emily\'s put on a show before a huge crowd as they blazed through the course in a blistering 17:38 and 17:41 to take the top 2 spots. Reese had a large early lead but Borsare seemed to close the gap over the last mile. As they came over the last rise on the way to the finish line, Reese had a slim 3 second margin on the hard charging Borsare. These two young ladies have most definitely taken things to another level with their blistering performance.

But that wasn\'t the only story of the day, Mountain Brook ,out of Alabama, took the team title on the girls side with two ninth graders and an 8th grader as their top 3 runners finishing with a 19:35 average for their top 5 and finished an amazing 58 points ahead of second place Grayson (20:11 average). Peachtree Ridge (20:30 average), Harrison (20:25 average), and Parkview (20:40 average) rounded out the top 5.

The boys race featured some of the top teams in the area as Parkview, Brookwood, and Marist hooked up in a classic. Parkview took the team title, led by Michael Winston\'s runner up finish in 16:03. Parkview placed 3 runners in the top 10 to overcome Brookwood\'s tightly grouped pack, led by Billy Mateker\'s 4th place finish. Marist provded the individual champion as Iain Turnbull took top honors with a 15:51 performance.

In the varsity division, Blessed Trinity was the top Georgia team coming in 2nd place to GPS and ahead of Northgate\'s girls. Shelley Taylor was the overall winner in 19:21.

In the boys varsity division, Westminster outdistanced Wesleyan for top honors. Josh Houser of Blessed Trinity was the overall winner in 16:30.
