Caroline Hood set the indoor state record in the 3200m last year
Georgia is one of the best states in the country in track and field. At least in outdoor, that is. But with no indoor season, we are still lagging behind a little bit. And we are in a weird transition period for indoor track and field it seems. Instead of getting more opportunities, the new schedule this year allows for fewer. With the current schedule, it doesn't allow teams a way to compete in an indoor meet. Athletes can still go to meets unattached, but it'll be interesting to see if those numbers, which had been steadily increasing for years, will continue to do so or not. I guess we will find out over the course o fit next month or so. Note: for many events there are performances that have been converted from similar distances. For example a 55m converted to a 60m or a 1600m converted to a mile.
