Atlanta Track Club Sponsors TEAM GEORGIA at 2010 Footlocker South Cross Country Regional Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina
The Atlanta Track Club annually sponsors a select number of high school cross country athletes to compete in the Footlocker South regional meet held in Charlotte, North Carolina’s McAlpine Park. This program, TEAM GEORGIA, is a selected group of top-level high school cross country athletes from the state of Georgia, selected by a committee to represent Georgia at this meet. The top-10 individuals in the seeded/championship race qualify for the Footlocker Finals held in San Diego, CA in December.
This year, as was in 2009, TEAM GEOGIA will have an athlete going to San Diego! Grace Tinkey, of First Presbyterian in Macon, GA finished 10th in the seeded championship race, as she did in 2009, and will represent the South region & TEAM GEORGIA in San Diego on December 11th.
